India vs England: Rahul Dravid close to equal Don Bradman’s record

India’s Mr. Dependable, Rahul Dravid, is on the verge of equaling record of legendary Australian cricketer Sir Don Bradman.Dravid, who is most successful batsman for India in the ongoing Test series with two consecutive hundreds, can rub the shoulder with Bradman if he scores third consecutive hundred here at Edgbaston in Birmingham.

Dravid will be second batsman after Bradman to achieve this feet in England. Bradman scored three consecutive hundred against England twice.

Despite of visitors two lost, Dravid is the leading run getter for India. He scored hundred at Lord’s and Trent Bridge. He has made 262 runs with an impressive average of 87.33.

A century in the third Test beginning from August 10 will boost morale for Team India, who is struggling to save the No.1 crown after trailing 0-2 in the four-match series.

Apart from Dravid, eyes will be on master blaster Sachin Tendulkar. Indian batting maestro’s much awaited 100th international ton may come here.
